Plecarea lui Cătălin Scărlătescu, Florin Dumitrescu și Sorin Bontea de la Antena 1 a declanșat un adevărat cutremur în cadrul trustului din Băneasa. Mai ales după ce, celebrii chefi au început filmările pentru un alt show culinar, chiar la postul rival, PRO TV.
S-a lăsat cu un proces, iar în fața instanței au fost chemate nu doar cele trei vedete, ci și trustul pentru care au filmat.

Din contră, celebrul chef a fost surprins de paparazzi CANCAN.RO, însoțit de un prieten, la o terasă de fițe din capitală, deloc neliniștit și mereu cu zâmbetul pe buze, în așteptarea emisiunii de la PRO TV.

Alături de colegii săi, Cătălin Scărlătescu a intentat și el proces trustului din Băneasa, pentru a-și recupera banii cuveniți pentru munca prestată. Acesta mărturisea, în exclusivitate pentru CANCAN.RO, că Antena 1 nu i-a plătit pentru ultimul sezon de Chefi la cuțite:
„Stimabila Antena 1 nu ne-a dat banii pe Sezonul 12 pe care ei au încasat toți banii din lume. Nu ne-au plătit salariul de interesanți ce sunt. Nu vreau să i se întâmple nimic Antenei. Vreau doar să îmi dea banii, munciți cu sudoarea frunții.
După ce m-au dat în judecată și mi-au cerut toate milioanele din lume… săracii, băieții ăia care au cerut milioane, știu să numere atât? Nu este o situație delicată, vă spune Scărlătescu. Antena 1 o face delicată. Antena 1 visează cai verzi pe pereți.
Și-au permis să nu ne dea banii. Eu îmi dau drumul la restaurant și îmi văd de treaba mea, de viața mea. După Antena 1, nu există moarte. Există viață în continuare, nu murim. Nu Antena ne-a făcut pe noi. Noi trei am făcut Antena mare. Când am ajuns eu în Antenă, nu era așa mare rating”.
