Instabilitatea politică din România și incertitudinile economice crescute au condus la o cerere masivă de valută, determinând o explozie a prețului euro pe piața valutară.
În unele case de schimb valutar, moneda europeană a atins valoarea alarmantă de 5,2 lei, o creștere semnificativă față de cursul oficial.

Românii, îngrijorați de viitorul economic al țării, s-au grăbit să cumpere euro, considerându-l un refugiu financiar în fața incertitudinii.
Potrivit lui Adrian Codîrlaşu, președintele CFA România, casele de schimb valutar profită de cererea crescută, speculând această situație prin majorarea prețurilor. „Poate că nu mai au euro fizic pentru a-l vinde, dar încearcă să profite de cererea mare”, a explicat Codîrlaşu. De asemenea, multe dintre aceste case de schimb au rămas temporar fără suficiente rezerve de bancnote, ceea ce a contribuit la creșterea prețurilor.
Dan Suciu, purtătorul de cuvânt al Băncii Naționale a României, a subliniat că până când casele de schimb vor aduna noi cantități de bancnote, situația va rămâne tensionată. În contextul actual, românii care trebuie să facă plăți în euro, precum pentru chirii sau facturi, resimt presiunea majorării costurilor.
La cursul oficial BNR, euro a început luni, 9 decembrie, cu valoarea de 4,9717 lei, dar cererea din piață a făcut ca prețul la casele de schimb să depășească rapid pragul de 5 lei.
În ciuda acestei volatilități, analiștii economici sunt optimiști cu privire la stabilizarea pieței în perioada următoare. „Ne aşteptăm să revenim la normal după criza politică, semnele deja se văd, cu o bursă în creștere și costuri de finanțare ale statului mai scăzute”, a afirmat Codîrlaşu, citat de CANCAN.ro.
Totuși, începutul anului 2025 ar putea aduce noi provocări, mai ales în contextul aplicării modificărilor fiscale.
